1. YES
2. No because you don't connect to Live, but not sure if there is code in the CD that detects the modchip.
3. If you haven't been previously banned, then no.
4. If its your first time playing Live, then no, but in like a day, yes
5. Without logging onto Live, no

Just my thoughts, but not facts that I assume as 100% correct

Not if you dont have a acount NO if you do YES

Well, when you want to create a new account, after you press A to get by the intro screen for Xbox Live introduction, your Xbox does connect to Live. You can of course not create an account, but there is a chance MS may get important info in that little time.

if you bought the game so it is a original game, and you can disable the mod chip?

if so how this is the boat i am in

also assuming you have a bigger HD installed and you have the evox on the drive but you are using evox3 hack and have dash named evolution.** what ever it is/??

Heres a question:

Can I use my 80gb HD instead of my original one if i set my bios to MS and I locked my drive?

                                    Yes

The hard disk password is generated by the BIOS "on the fly" using the HD "KEY".

People seem to be equating the two since we often refer to the password as a "Key".

Anyway the HD KEY remains the same even if you replace the drive, only the password the XBOX sends the drive changes.

So if you lock the drive then disable the mod chip you are fine...

Fine until you or someone accidentally screws up for you!

5. Yes---you will get banned if u go on ur dashboard with ur modchip on even if u don't log on to live, it will tell ms that u have a modchip the next time u log onto live.

                                    Not quite but close:

Here's a post I put up before outlining this...

-----

We need to revise the definition of terms since many people are confused by the fact that we used HD KEY and HD Password interchangably in the past.

HD KEY = the unique code imbedded in the EEPROM which XBLive verify your machine with.

This code is indirectly related to the following item.

HD PASSWORD = the "code" sent to the drive to UNLOCK it during startup. It is generated by the BIOS "on the fly", based upon eeprom contents (and the HD KEY) and detected hardware.

The HD PASSWORD is unique for your machine and drive combination. If you replace the drive, the XBox sends out a different PASSWORD for the new drive. This is why the password must be "figured out" by Evolution-X, then the drive removed, relocked, then re-installed... ugh.

The HD KEY is RELATIVELY "fixed" for your machine (but not anymore thanks to eeprommagic & configmagic!) and seems to be what MS is using to identify your XBox for banning purposes.

The Xbox Serial Number and MAC address can be modified on a NON-BANNED Xbox without adverse consequences. If the HD KEY is modified, XBLive will recognize the key as being invalid and then will ban the XBox.

We do not currently know the HD KEY encoding that determines it's validity. (unless someone has already cracked this!)

YES you CAN use a replacement hard drive and not be subsequently banned.

This requires that

a ) Your mod chip supports HD replacements
b ) You lock your drive
c ) You never use your machine on XBLive with the mod chip turned ON
d ) You never drop to the XBLive "tab" with your mod chip turned ON and the internet connection active

Note: when you drop to the XBLive "tab" in the dashboard you machine is immediately connected to XBLive during the animation!

During this time your Xbox's mod chip is detected.

This is what has lead to the (possibly erroneous) discussion of "flags" being set.

I hope this clears some things up.
