                                    Don't think you have to worry about the poor doing it. They wouldn't have Xbox's anyway. If they couldn't afford 50 bucks for the live kit. How would they do 50 bucks a month for broadband, 200 bucks for the console, 50 bucks per game. Even if they were to get a mod that would still be 40+ bucks for the chip, cd or DVD burner, blank media, etc.
Nope, this is for the extremly greedy.

Oh, and a *good* cell phone head set will run you 30+ bucks. Why take the chance on getting busted trying to gut a Live kit when you can just buy it. Plus think of the kid that opens it up on Christmas and he can't connect because you gutted the package.

i personally dont believe in backing up games and stealing eeproms and live accts at such an early stage.  Ok a couple of years down the line maybe when the xbox cow is milked ill do it but in the consoles infancy it doesnt seem right to help kill off the thing you love

I am so torn because unless you use your box for homebrew and emu's only you are stealing as well........e.g. if you have a game that you don't own you are stealing. It is just that what you are doing is just plain stupid....chances of getting caught doing that are way higher....oh well to each his own

People with modchips doesn't mean they are making pirate copies of games. I have a modchip, and yet I always purchase the games I like, I mainly use the modchip to play divx and emulators, I never make illegal copies! Trithe needs to get raped and shot! What he is doing is totally different than making backup copies aswell since what he does is steal the software itself, thats like buying a game and returning the empty box for a refund. Making a backup copy is when you buy a game and make a legal copy so if something happens to the original that you already purchased, But you didn't know that so now you know.

I know very well what making a freaking backup is!  In your opinion burning and using games you dont legally own might be different then stealing but in my opinion it isn't.  Not to say i've never burnt games i didn't own.  And if you dont use the modchip to rip off software companies i basically included you with those people who use modchip for import group....

BTW, Great for u railz!  u bought ur mod chip to do good stuff with it.  i'll admit i bought to burn games i didn't own.  (even though now i ripped out the mod to play on live cause i couldn't make a switch and dont really think i'm gonna put it back... ever).  If you bought ur modchip not to rip off software companies then you're not the type of person i'm refering to

I maintain that piracy of games I'd never plunk down $50 on (like blood rayne) is fine.  The only people that are really losing are the asses at blockbuster since I'm not renting games anymore.  And who cares about them, they make all their money on my not returning movies on time.

Blatant theft of a service is different though...I don't steal electricity, telephone service, or hot water...so what this guy is suggesting is completely immoral.
