Mod Chip After Xbl

Has anyone else tried to install a matrix mod chip after installing XBL.  I think this could be why I cannot FTP to my Xbox. When I signup for xbl I gave an Ip address to my xbox. This could be conflicting with the ip a gave with evolution configurations.  Can anyone help me ? [email protected]
