The LED on the Matrix turns red after you do the eject/swap in mode 3.
This tells you that your original Xbox bios is now operating, and your Matrix bios is disabled.
It may not seem like a true reset, but your original bios is operating, and that's all you need for safe access to Live.

Thanx for the help I'll give it a try once I get home (now that I'm sure I wont be banned).

As for my second question does anyone know if there is any reason a matrix owner would want to put on the evo 2.6 with the eject trick since this does not reset the xbox?
