I think we isolated it down to online/hdd key.  Everything else is interchangeable... and there is no "flag."  Your eeprom is the same bit-by-bit before and after the ban.  It's all serverside.

cool.gif that they are set when you INSTALL xbox live if you boot through a modchip, and that SOMEONE knew where it was(it was something like a number was 6000 something instead of being 4000 something)  Now, since changing the Serial and the MAC address allows you to access xbl again, I have a few questions for you all....
1)since changing the MAC and Serial means you hafta lock the hd to the new serial, then you also must reformat it(not 100% sure about that, hit me if im wrong) meaning that the flag is erased, wherever it was, and im pretty sure whoever has done this, didnt put the XBL xboxdash.xbe or any xbox live data back on the hd, but the pre-XBL dash and data, meaing they had to reinstall live.  Im assuming that they created a new account as well?  now, from this, its easy to see that the flag would have to exist somewhere on the xbox.....now if Im wrong about this, if they did put the Xbox live data back and use the same account, then it would be different
2)The flag would have to be ASSOCIATED with the MAC number and Serial, as well as the ban itself, which doesnt make sense, because then you could just take your account to a friends house and play, not very smart on m$ side.  Is this possible or am i just stupid?

I dont really understand all this flag bullshit. I have an enigma in my xbox and a switch installed. I got xbox live on the 15th and have been playing it ever since the 15th with my chip turned off. I have also been playing a lot of splinter cell off my hard drive with my chip turned on. I have been to my dashboard multiple times with my chip turned on, i have played many backups off cds with my chip turned on. I am running evox off a CDRW. after 2 weeks of xbox live I HAVE NOT BEEN BANNED. Where are the flags? I have seen nothing. I read that once you boot your dashboard with the chip on you will be banned; either this isnt true or MS is really taking their time banning me.

does anybody have ANY PROOF WHATSOEVER?

There is no flag on your xbox.  The eeprom is not changed one bit (pun intended).  As far as I've seen, NOTHING on the hard drive changes.  If you put in a new HD on a banned system it is still banned.  So this "flag" you speak of is not in the eeprom, not in the HD, and certaintly not in the $&%*ing bios.  So where then?

I can see how you would be led to believe this...  hey look, i logged on to xbl with my mod on, now the xyz values are slightly different. if anything, you have been flagged ON THEIR SERVERS. everytime you see the xyz values you have just been in contact wiht their servers, so the xyz values dont have to be strictly determined by what's in the eeprom.

once again:  no flag on your system, but its possible that a flag exists for your xbox on their servers.

if anybody has counterevidence to my claims, please post.

There is no flag, unless it's in the eeprom, but before and after bit compares contradict that.

There is no flag on the drive, we know that. Mod a box, install Live, get banned, replace ONLY the eeprom, and you are un-banned without having to touch the HDD.
