Xblive And Locked Hdd

I wouldn't do it.
Just because you've locked the new drive and are running the stock bios (mod chip off); doesn't mean Live will get fooled forever.
They (Live) may start to look at the HD, not for a locked password, but the model # and the true size, reported heads, cylinders and other low level stuff.

You need to keep the virgin HD in there while on Live.

I, on the other hand, would go for it.  I fact, I have been doing this since the beta.  Go ahead and lock the hdd and you will be able to boot up stock without a problem.  For extra security, you can use an f: boot bios and put all of your evox related files on the f partition.  This way your c drive will look normal if they ever do any hdd scanning.  The ms bios cannot see the f drive.  Just remember to always boot with eject before playing live games, never pick any live options on games with your chip on, and remove the link to the ms dash from evox.
