Enigma'd xbox before i installed startup disc, since before installing live enigma has always been out of the xbox.  Works on Live fine (i traded my original banned xbox with a friend who wasn't gonna buy live).

so no mod chip in, there used to be one (enigmah), and xbox live works:

X:0000-F001
y:00A8-4860
Z:8015-1917

although i have 8015 on z, i'm not banned because it works (hopefully it doesn't mean they are waiting to ban me)

I'm still curious as to where to get the XYZ information. The directions on the first page just don't add up to what I'm seeing on my screen.

I got Rainbow Six 3 yesterday for christmas Xbox Live has been working great for aprox 4 months with a modded xbox, well now I get that damn "Modified Hardware or Software" error.

Here are my codes

W: 0000 - 000B
X: 0000 - F001
Y: 00A8 - 6860
Z: 8015 - 190D

There is a cash converters about 30minutes from my house, I think im just gonna pick up a used Xbox from there and use it only for Xbox Live.....

Guys remember this is very important

On new games you dont have to click the live tab to get banned. The live aware games check for your modchip too. Always unplug your cable when playing any live game ever unless your chip is off and never go the the main page with your chip on

so not withstanding flashing with a new eeprom, is there any way to recover from an "Xbox live not found" y:00c2 message when connecting to Live?

The ONLY thing i have done with an xbox that is generating this message is install a 120gb wd HDD in it. It has a bioxx v4, but it has always been disabled when booting to the ms dash. Someone in this forum said that it may have something to do with the way the hdd was locked - I used config magic... i'll try it with atapwd to see if that matters at all.

suggestions as to what i should do if that doesnt work would be greatly appreciated.

                                    im working on 8015, right now it seems to have to do with (dum dum dum) the first 16 bytes of your eeprom!!!! (aka hdkey) thanks to all you (especially undead for F*king everything up for me hehe) ill get cracking and keep posting!!!! (for once i feel like im really helping something. I could be the modders xyz decoder! MS has one, why cant we! lol )

Here are my xyz numbers on a multibios tsop flash and a switch(its been flashed a few times with different bios).  I'm using 4034 standard bios for live and evox2.5 ybox for mod fun.  All setting are the auto defaults.
I've been running live for a week now with no problems(keeping my fingers crossed)  I only use it under the 4034 bios for online play with retail games.

Y: 00A8-4860
Z: 8015-1919

New EEPROM Installed and Live is now working.

While fiddling with this I found out the following:

1. If you use a static IP in the MS Dash and you have XBOX MediaPlayer also configured with a static IP the XBMP IP, Subnet and gateway is updated on the MS Dash (DNS does not seem to be effected). – Is this correct! So I would also suggest that you either supply the wrong gateway or use a DHCP (UPDATE: Unable to test as XBMP running under EVOX when using DHCP causes XBMP to crash and with use static IP - maybe someone else can test) under XBMP, as if you accidentally open the MS Dash you would instantly be connected to live and banned.

2. Even supplying the wrong DNS addresses doesn’t seem to stop the XBOX from connecting to live – the only way to stop live connectivity is to supply the wrong gateway or remove the cable.

So this could now lead to think why I had a problem – as the day before I was banned I had changed the XBMP gateway to be valid and then enter the MS Dash (the gateway kept changing and I didn’t understand why). I was able to play on live the following day in the morning, but in the evening I was then banned. I also had configured auto-login as DISABLED and Controlled PIN enabled when accessing Live – these didn’t appear to stop me from being banned. – This is the only way I can explain why I was banned unless something else had happened

What if you cannont get to your XYZ codes because when u click on the xbox live tab it says it has to update but when it tries to update, it says i cant connect? am i banned?
