QUOTE (JaXbox @ Jan 20 2004, 03:01 PM)
Have I been banned ? sad.gif  (it cant figure out why I cant connect to Xbox Live, eventhough all my test-connects workout perfectly fine)

XYZ codes:

0000 - F001
00A8 - 4860
0000 - 0000

Can any of you guys help me out? unsure.gif

Edit: false alert - it turned out that XboxLive was somehow "overloaded" in my region (eventhough that sounds strange) - at least that was what the M$ support-guy said.

Posts like this aren't needed! If you had read the first topic you would know that the 4 in your second Y code checks you out fine! Please guys read the first page first (even though some of it is wrong  cool.gif )

1.00.4920.01
X: 0000-000D
Y: 00AB-E800
Z: 0000-0000

Xbox live is not found. What does 'E' mean? I found nothing about that.

These were my old numbers when I was banned:
0000 F021
00A8 6820
8015 190D

Now I flashed my eeprom with a unbanned one (yay for me!)
0000 F021
00EA 4960
8015 1917

Has everyone that flashed their eeprom had to do an account recovery?

teetu: yes, the xbox live account information is written in the config sector of the HD. When you unlock/relock the hd, you write over the config sector erasing your xbox live info.

QUOTE (Fuzzy @ Nov 27 2002, 03:08 AM)
This is a re-post of my discoveries as a seperate topic.

Ok, ive looked through a lot and here's how its working.

X. First of all, the first four numbers of x should always be zeros. They SHOULD always but I haven't seen one that isn't (if yours isn't contact me.)

Y. 00A8 seems to be common among banned and not banned boxes.  Now here is where the problem is. Apparently 6860 indicates an LPC mod that is enabled or a non switched non-LPC mod enabled. 6820 means that the system had once had a modchip in it but at the moment is not running. Other wise it should be something like 4840 or 4820.

Z. The last row (a.k.a Z) has to do with packets and trashed responses. The first 4 numbers deal with response on whether is banned, will be banned, or is not banned. It looks like 8015 is banned/to be banned and 0015 is already banned but depending on type of chip you have you may never get this number (LPC or other). The last 4 numbers are a combo. The first two (19 generally) have to do with which live region your in (dont ask) the second two have to do with packet receiving. D is no packets, C is two packets one trashed, 17 is trashed but readable packet. 0000 is any amount of none trashed packets.

A good code should look something like this:
X: 0000-F021
Y: 00A8-4840
Z: 0000-0000

This is what I have deciphered and I believe it is 99.9% correct. I hope it is of some use to Zander, Opjose, Undead, Or someone. Thanks for your time   smile.gif

great work fuzzy.  is it possible to change the XYZ code?  do we know where its info is kept?

Help for XYZ Live codes - See if you are banned

Hey guys,

I've got a modded xbox v1.3, x2.3 pro with x2 4980 BIOS, and an 80 gig Seagate HD. When trying to sign onto Live with the 80 gig HD, I get an "Xbox Live not found" error, and my Y code is 00C2-0060 (full connection to router, and then to the internet).

When I swap the 80 gig out and reinstall the original 10 gig HD, I can sign onto Live without any problem.  I noticed that when I unplug the connection from the router to the internet and try again with the 80 gig HD installed ,the Y code changes to 00C3-0060.

When the original HD is installed the  Y code is 00A8-4860.

I've read somewhere on this thread that this may be related to how ConfigMagic Final locked my drive?  Perhaps I'll reformat and use the "long" method of preparing a new HDD and locking it...

Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you have any luck??

I think that I might have some info for those with the first 4 of the Y code: 00c2. As you can see from my sig, I have a 120GB HDD. This was my first time trying to connect to live w/ this box w/ the new HDD. I called xbox customer support and I read them my XYZ codes and everything- They were:
W 0000 000B
X 0000 F001
Y 00C2 01A4
Z AFFF 0018

The rep told me that this problem is common with some old xboxes. He said how when xblive first came out that a bunch of people had the same problems as me. He said MS would repair it for free - yeah right, i have a modded box.
I know that lots of people have been posting that they have the 00C2 and that they have an upgraded HDD, so it could be that, but if M$ offered to repair it for free, that means that people w/o a modded box probably have had the 0062 Y code. I don't know what to do about live, b/c I don't think that I need a new EEPROM, but who knows...

no it is not possible to change the code and it wouldnt do anything, but the codes are a diagnostic of a system and now that i have a programmer i will start work on a program that will decode your codes. Xbox can read C right?

Just checked my Xbox
1.Turn off your modchip and go to the Xbox Dashboard.
2.Click on the Xbox Live Tab.
3.Go to Network Connections.

There is no Network Connections in the Xbox Live Tab?

Any other way to check,  BTW the box has been banned and got a new epprom.

Hey guys,

Here's an update on my situation.  Once again, it's a v1.3 xbox with an x2.3b pro installed, and I upgraded the HD to an 80 gig 7200rpm Seagate.

Anyway, when I used Slayer's Evo-X to prepare the new HD and install the various apps (and then used ConfigMagic Final, which I installed myself), I couldn't play on Live - well, I couldn't connect, kept getting an "Xbox Live not found" error, even though the chip was turned off and all the cables were plugged in - the Y code was 00C2-0060.

I reformatted the 80 gig drive and used the "long" method of preparing the HD, using a PC and LiveInfo, hdlock/hdunlock, and Norton Ghost to clone the Xbox HD to the 80 gig HD.  Now I can play on Live no problem!  the Y code (when router is disconnected from internet) is now 008C-0060.

Hope this helps some of you guys out there.

Here's a link to the tutorial I used: http://forums.xbox-s...T&f=41&t=105803

(Note, in this one it says *not* to use hdprepar - I however *did* use hdprepar to zero the first 4096 sectors of my 80gig drive).
