Cutriss thanx for the offer of help....I am looking for a tutorial that is for Windows XP...I need one that explains what to do in order to LOCK the drive...I dont care about anything else but getting this drive locked...If there is anyone in the Los Angeles area that wants to try it let me know otherwise I would greatly appreciate a step by step

Hmmm....modded xbox. Matrix that has been in mode 1 since i installed live this morning. Which, btw, is running fine.

8015-1917

This is the same thing as emoney's original xbox. Therefore 8015 does not equal ban? Cause due to 4860, it should mean that my box is unmodded? hmmm....somethings not right.

You want to lock it? Just use configmagic 2 (usual places)

Since I cant Update to the newdash I thought maybe my box was baned. (ive never played live since my box has been modded+never had it hooked up to the internet) Everytime I log into xboxlive it says i need to update.... I hit ok.....Next thing i get is a mesg sayin "Unable to continue due to tecnicul difficulties please try again latter. So here is my x, y, z coeds of when the cat5 cable is unpluged. (I cant load live cause when i plue the cable in it says i need a update, NO OPTION)

z:0000-0000

Any Ideas of how I can update?

having the exact same problem (same XYZ codes) with a 1.0 xbox, using an X2.1 Lite chip.

Tried reloading the eeprom with config magic, didn't help. Codes didn't change.

ANy other suggestions?

Hmm, I know it may be a little annoying but its for the sake of science. Would you try swapping back your other HD to see if your codes change...it would be a great help. If you do post the codes. If the other hard drive doesnt change anything, i might be able to hook you up with an eeprom for the service.

I'm using xbox v1.0 got banned, replaced eeprom and this is what I got. I am using a x2 lite, but it's turned off. The EEPROM I bought was originally PAL, but I changed it to NTSC. I can't figure out what's wrong. I actually have some of this info in one other post, but i thought it would be good here since this is a more proper place.

Does the serial number in the help panel match the one on your Xbox or the one on your EEPROM's prior owner's? Or, does it even show up at all?

Yea thats a real odd one. Curtiss did discover that had something to do with non-matching data or something similar to that. Could we have some more info?

DONT EDIT YOUR EEPROM UNLESS CHANGING THE REGION

I have recieved 20 Pms in the last two days from people with c codes and when i ask for details, they're like "i changed my hdkey to get unbanned"

STOP EDITING YOUR EEPROM, AND IF YOU SCREW IT UP, NO I WILL NOT HELP YOU

Second - The W code *does* change, based on your flow rate - Half Duplex, or Full Duplex. I posted on P.25 about this, IIRC.
