Help for XYZ Live codes - See if you are banned

Update:
I previously had the 00c2 y code and xblive could not be found. I got a new eeprom, and all is well. I did not have to reformat my hdd, but did have to shell out 7 bucks.

Just checked my Xbox
1.Turn off your modchip and go to the Xbox Dashboard.
2.Click on the Xbox Live Tab.
3.Go to Network Connections.

There is no Network Connections in the Xbox Live Tab?

Any other way to check,  BTW the box has been banned and got a new epprom.

I am the same, not on my xbox either, I got the v1.0 with excuter2 chip

For those of you who don't know if your firewall is enabled on your router you will need to open up ports 88 udp and 3074 udp & tcp for your xbox to communicate properly over the wan.

This is complete fucking bullshit!!! I flashed me eeprom yesterday with an unbanned one, and I DEFINATELY left my matrix in mode 1.  I never even had my mod on after I flashed the eeprom.  I don't know what the hell happened.  I did have to download an update yesterday, but other than that i didnt do anything.  All I know is I'm banned again. Fuck.

Anyways, at least it can post that even with the new eeprom, my numbers than reverted back to the same exact ones I was originally banned with (see above).  I thought they might be slightly different because of the different eeprom, but they aren't.

IN XBOX LIVE 2.0, NETWORK CONNECTIONS (as well as Auto Sign in settings) IS UNDER THE SETTINGS TAB, NOT UNDER XBOX LIVE.

I ran update EEPROM, and nothing happened to me.

Okay here is some additional information on the 00C2 Y code:

When I modded my buddies xbox I used a ghost image of my 120gb Xbox harddisk and slapped the ghosted harddisk into his xbox.  I think this is where the eeprom.bin information became corrupted for his system because from what I understand each system must have a unique eeprom.bin.  His system doesn't list a S/N # when a accessing the WXYZ information.  I tried backing up his xbox but the newly produced eeprom.bin file couldn't save the day after placing it in the config magic final /data folder and updating with this eeprom.bin file.  I was hoping that it would work, but no cigar.

At this point I am going to restore his system with the original harddisk and try this tutorial:
http://forums.xbox-s...T&f=41&t=105803
Hopefully this will resolve the issue.   If anyone has any other ideas, please let a brother know.

ps.  I always thought that if he tried accessing Live with a duplicate eeprom.bin he would get banned.  The codes on his system does not reflect a ban.  See below for the code on my box and the code on his box.  They are just shy of being identical.  I wish someone could explain in futher detail to me how this could come about and why I can't alter it by just doing a new backup of his system and using the eeprom.bin file generated by his system to fix this problem.

My Codes:
S/N: <removed>
1.00.5659.03
W: 0000 000B
X:  0000 000D
Y:  0088 1C00
z:  0000 0000

My Buddies Codes:
S/N -
1.00.5659.03
W:  0000 000B
X:   0000 000D
Y:   00C2 0002
Z:   0000 0000

Thanks for any comments or insight...

I'm having about the same problem, but my xbox with the 250gb hd does show a identical serial # with my 120gb hd and it also shows the same mac address. Someone told me to do account recovery but it tries to connect and no luck.

BUFFMAN, you might want to take off that serial number... with just a glance MS could ban your EEPROM (if not already banned?)

Ok a few questions... I'm confused.

First off, I have a banned X-Box (no idea how it happened, I never tried to go Live with my chip enabled I was always smart about it). Now, if I get the EEPROM dump from someone who has an unbanned X-Box, could MS detect that I am using the same as the other guy and therefore limit the Live access kinda like people sharing CDkeys for playing PC games online? In other words, if someone sends me their EEPROM dump, will it inconvinience them later? Does it matter if the EEPROM goes from a 1.1 version X-Box to a 1.0? Is there anything else I need to know about this process? I want to depseratly want to get back online, and have the means (other people) of doing it. Just don't want them to get shited on later.

Also, if unbanning an X-Box is simply the process of flashing the EEPROM with a "good" image, then wouldn't it simply be possible to buy an X-Box (assumption), dump the EEPROM, and everytime the box is banned my MS simply reflash the EEPROM? Theoretically this could work, but you guys are the experts.

Props to all those working on figuring out these codes.

Okay, I have here additional useful information.  My buddies box that "can not find xbox live" is now Live again.  I swapped his 120gb harddisk with his xbox original and disabled the modchip.  The system booted up fine, went to Live's site and made all of the appropriate downloads.

This is utterly confusing as the WXZ data did not change (see previous post above).  The only thing that changed was Y: 0088 1C00.  It is EXACTLY the eeprom of MY box.

So in a nutshell this is what happened:
ghost my hard drive to his new 120gb drive
run config magic and lock his drive and run update eeprom (don't know if update really did anything)
notice we both have the same eeprom data
try going online with his box and get the "cant find live" error
notice his eeprom has the Y:00C2 code
swap his upgrade drive with xbox original
access xbox live without a problem
check the eeprom data and it is still exactly like mine except this drive gains access to Live
looking for a new eeprom.bin file because one of us is bound to get banned using same eeprom data

Is this useful to anyone?

I just hooked up my old 8gig hd, and I still was not able to connect to xb live. This time I check the codes and I got:
W 0000-0015
X  0000-F001
Y  008A-0FE0
Z  AFFF-0018

Could this be my ethernet port on my xbox. I noticed when I ftp that sometimes it freezes and am not able to download completely. When I had my 250gb hd in the codes were:
W  0000-0015
X  0000-F001
Y  00C2-03E0
Z  0000-0000
Now their is something on Z. Anybody know anything about this? Thanks.

Y: 00A8-4800
Z: 0000-0000

Modded 1.0 Xbox, never banned, using 1.1 EEPROM

W: 0000-000B
X: 0000-F001
Y: 00A8-4840
Z: 0000-0000

Unmodded 1.5 Xbox

PS- On Live 2.0 Network Connections is under settings

Man all this time I thought my buddies xbox had the same eeprom as my xbox because i ghosted my hard drive to his new hard drive!  It seems that you too have the same WXYZ codes  LOL!

I guess the WXYZ codes are not unique to a box.  The Serial # must be what is unique to the box.  Anyone agree with this?

(Please see my WXYZ codes in the previous post of mine above)

hey, heres my problem.  I had a modchip.  I was on the xbox beta.  I could play fine until Nov. 12 when everybody else had problems, I have NOT upgraded to retial or played any retail games, i lost that disc they sent me in the mail.  After i could not connect i have not tried to connect until i took out the modchip from my xbox.  So i took it out, put in the retial disc, then i still get the error "xbox live not found".  My XYZ codes in Y dont start/have any 6's.  It is:

X:   0000 - F009
Y:   00C2 - 03C0
Z:   0000 - 0000

Whats going on here?  Tech support from xbox cant help me either.  They say its my modem, but i tried on my friends differnet modem and it didnt worked...anyways it did work be4 and it doesnt work now.  btw, i get basiclaly the same thing if i use my router or a direct connection, that code i gave u was with my router and all automatic settings
