So i was tinkering with the new bios right. well with an old evox bios once your system is booted the bios stays in cache. you can turn it off and still play a backup. well with the new bios i loaded up evox then flipped the switch and started splinter cell from the hard drive. it froze. i did this all over again without flipping the switch to retail. when i got to the main menu i flipped the switch back to retail. i went to download online or whatever it is. it froze again, i believe its trying to load another xbe file for the live download. is this new bios actually capable of not keeping the bios it started with? is this saying the retail is being loaded and it cant load the unsigned code. i dont know but i thought this was worth mentioning since x-ecuter people have kinda been in the dark with us about this live check thing. is this the key to playing backups by reverting to the original bios or am i just a dumbass and something else is going on?
