I bought Xbox Live last Friday and tried running it on my system (flashed TSOP with Evox 2.5). I couldn't get on and I read this could be a result of mod detection. So, I used a little proggy I wrote called Xsplizit and made a multibios with EvoX 2.5 and original 4043 bioses. I installed a switch at A19 and the case and sure enough, when switched to 4043 kernel, I was able to register my copy of live and play Whacked.
Like a complete idiot, the next Saturday, I tried connecting again with the Evox 2.5 just to see what happened. Well guess what happened? I was blacklisted. After eight unsuccessful calls to XBL Helpdesk, I bought a new box on Sunday just to see if I could connect. Don't worry, I've got my Walmart receipt tucked away so I can return it. Well, I connected without issue using the new box. So, after some pleading, I convinced my buddy to give me his eeprom. I installed that, reconfigured my harddrive (new password so I could boot into the 4043 bios) and I have been fine on XBL ever since.
I switch to X2 V1.0 when I want to run homebrew software off my 120 Gig IBM. Then when I want to play Whacked, I switch to 4043, turn on the box and insert the Live cd.
So far so good... it's been a week now with no problems. I seems to be working for me and I intend to return the new box I picked up from Walmart this weekend.

*** NOTE: If you try the above, at no point should you EVER start XBL UNLESS you turned the Xbox on with the switch in the 4043 position. In other words, do not attempt to start the MS dashboard from Evox and start Xbox live.
