Did you set a MASTER PASSWORD?

Check out this document.

http://www-3.ibm.com...le/dpra_spw.pdf

Go to the last pages where the entire sequence is discussed.

With the master password you ALWAYS have the option of unlocking a frozen drive, but you'll end up loosing the data stored on it.

Heh, I still maintain the three are tied together.

Changing one bit should have gotten the machine banned, but putting it back should have resulted in it being unbanned.

Unless they other numbers are tied in as well. I still bet they are, but are not "paid attention to" until a mod chip is detected.

Of course with the banning delay, it could have been something you did 2 days ago that got you banned.  And it is just showing up now.  All this makes for a very messy troubleshoot.

So is the HD key uniqe to the hard drive or if you replaced the hard drive is it copied over to the new hard drive when you move the c:\ partition over?

make sure you have ONLY the xbox hdd on your ide bus, and also make sure that your pc's BIOS set NOT set on auto for hdd detection.. make it NONE instead of auto..

You guys thing MS dudes come here and check on your progress?

I mean, they MUST know about this and other sites, so they MUST also check whats going on no?

And, if someone wants to answer this, and dont flame and ask me to search, WAY too many answers, I thought u COULD log on currently with a locked hdd, and original game, and a switched off modchip... But u guys are talking like u cant anymore? Anyways, if no one answers, np...

what we havent considered is that it is something beyond our control that gets confused if you will. Example, a cookie is left in an unreachable data source in some xbox boot pathway (on the mobo) this code is designed to send trashed files to the xbox servers containg your data. By changing around the hdkey etc. you could just be temporarily confusing it (figuratively) than you are rebanned. Does this seem feasible?
