i don't know why i'm replying to this.

this EXACT question has been asked SOO many times.

but anyways, i'll help ya.  this is it:

(1) install xbox live from cd
(2) goto ms dash
(3) select xbox live
(4) account management
(5) account recovery
(6) fill in the form, and you're done.

you can also transfer the stuff over with a memory card if you have one.
