I believe his point is that we collectively "need a life".

This can be used once you get all green in the Connection test for XBL in the dashboard correct?

IT wont fix the Kerborse problem...

Why do we need to do this if it's a server problem?  Surely just hanging on until MS fix the problem is the best way?

i gotta say we are some nerds, lol. u think we should be doing something more real in our lives then the xbox. but sorry to say, i dont, lol.

Ever heard of a term called "hobby"? Some people work on their cars, or build birdhouses, paint pictures, whatever. XBox is our hobby. Maybe your hobby is dressing up Barbie dolls, but thats something you like to do so I won't call you a nerd.

or i have something else to ask... if i sneakingly get another virgin hard drive, copy all my SAVE files and MP3's to it (so i won't lose all my files), use this NEW hard drive and put it in my xbox, would i get same result as doing all the things explained by DEMI?  i'm thinkin it will, stop me now or forever hold ur peace

QUOTE (Demi @ Nov 18 2002, 01:42 AM)
Changing the hard drive doesn't make a difference. I tried that thinking that MS had put some file in the drive to keep you from logging in if you had a mod chip installed. To the best of my knowlegde this problem originates on the server side. I only say this because i was able to connect the night xbox live was released but through all of saturday and most of sunday i was unable to connect. I kept getting Xbox Live not found. So i changed the eeprom and only the eeprom aside from removing my mod chip, which was disabled when i was getting the error, and was able to connect just fine.

I know most people are still hanging on to this " it's a server problem" but after switching the eeprom and getting on line i switched back to my original eeprom and got Xbox live not found again. So i find it hard to believe it is a server problem. I don't want to believe that they are banning xboxes but that seems to be the only explanation if this method solves the problem.

i don't get it then?  by gettin another virgin xbox hard drive's eprom aren't u actually getting its information so u can connect to xbox live?  at least thats what it sounds like to me.  if this is the case then why wouldn't replacing ur hard drive with another xbox's hard drive solve the problem... since instead of moving eprom of hard drive to ur hard drive, ur simply replacing the entire hard drive therefor getting it's information (eprom) that way?  please explain

smile.gif ) and wait to see what people discover. You may be risking getting your ACCOUNT banned by playing with the serial numbers - noone knows at the moment - just sit back and wait a few days.
