Just replaced the hard drive with my original, cleaned off ALL evoX files, still can't connect to Xbox Live through dash:

1.00.4920.01
X: 0000-F001
Y: 00C2-03E0
Z: 8015-1917

Different from when I had the replacement drive in. I'll damn near guarantee you my box's serial number has been blacklisted. DAMN! (Though this could be because I'm trying with the retail disc, maybe? Though I was a beta tester.)

Hmmmm.......that would support the theory of just installing a switch and disabling the modchip to get on Live.  I could live with that.....but all this confusion is really pissing me off!!!

I forgot to say, I **can** get connected today, after the upgrade.  (I am in the UK)

I am fully supportive of this if it means that there is no cheating going on.  So what if we have to buy the odd game or so.  it's not the end of the world!! laugh.gif

(I have a very similar thread going over at xboxhacker.net)

"Y" info.

1.00.4920.01

X: 0000 - F001
Y: 008A - 6820
Z: 8015 - 190D

matrix mod
evo2.5 bios
no HDD mod
original dash, evox dash isn't even installed, and has never been run once.

Live beta user since early october, noticed outtage Early Tues after putting in retail disc to attempt upgrade.

Live fails no matter what. EVO2.5 bios, MS bios, modchip completely removed, all fails.

No it doesn't.  Xbox Live has two Xboxs that have simular numbers but one of them is virgin.

Actually right is no better off then it was 12 hours ago.  It could be detecting and not allowing modded systems but that doesn't explain why virgin systems are not getting on either, or it could be a blacklist of IPs or it could be that MS under-estimated how long it will take to do anything with their servers.  As somebody who played Asheron's Call for years, MS has a bad habit of doing that.

Looks like we're waiting still

I honestly think these numbers have bugger all to do with it.  But I am interested to know what they are.

BOB LIVE - your xyz is the same as mine.  Whats the ip address of your xbox?  Mines 10.0.0.9
(Obviously, don't post here if it's an address open to the world!!)

hrm, mine are kinda interesting, i think:

x-ecuter with original xbox dashboard:

1.00.4920.01
X: 0400 - F001
Y: 00A8 - 6820
Z: 8015 - 190D

i have a "0400" instead of everyone else who has 0000 or 0001

Canibus,

I personally (as shown above) do not have "Z" as 0000-0000. But a friend of mine, who has no mod, and never changed anything on his xbox (it's virgin) has a "Z" of 0000-0000 and his live is working just fine. The mod may nothing to do with the code, but it's worth investigating.

You guys aren't posting the most important bit of information.

Under the X, Y, and Z, are stats for UL, DL, and P. Or Upload, Download, and Packets.

All of my values for those figures are zero, regardless of whether or not the modchip is disabled or enabled. Which means that my xbox is failing to connect without EVER talking to the servers.

This would be a big indication that there is some sort of file that was uploaded by MS to block access ... if it's just until tomorrow, it's probably that we're being locked out to give them some overhead while they get the servers up. There's a remote possibility that it's mod-chip related, but it seems pretty clear that since the XBox is sending and recieving NO data at all, that it's not a lock on the server side. I vote for the date lock theory.
