i think 2k3 is on its own live server, not run by ms, so there is no ban on it, this is just speculation though

i honestly think the servers are being fixed. Nothing more. If you think about it, m$ would lose money going after modders. I mean, if they had to buy a new xbox to connect to live, m$ would be losing money, right?

everyone keeps talking about the money ms looses on buying a new console.  Maybe its just me but if ms bans me from xbox live then I prob just won't bother with it.  Not that its not fun or anything but it is after all just multiplayer gaming.  I mean I was playing nfl2k1 online with my dreamcast and it was pretty much the same gaming experience I've been playing with nfl2k3.

So for me if they ban me I'll just try to get my $50 back (prob not successfully) and they will lose out on the $100 or so they would have gotten from me in the next couple years.  As it is I'll have a hard enough time playing through all the games I have cause of my mod chip

well interestingly enough thismorning i was messing around with my xbox (the one that got kicked off) and went to account managment and.... yeah it worked.  i was now able to conenct from the dashboard but still ot through a game.  i havent changed anything. still modded with 120 gig hdd. it is a server problem.  apperently with the beta testers some have been flagged or something and will not be able to play until tomorrow around noon. im still not sure about these people who are buy new xbox's and saying they work?  are you saying you can log onto xboxlive from the dashboard??  or can you play games like moto gp??  any xbox you go buy now and set up with live today will not have been kicked off yet.  so if you buy a new one without a mod and then ..Magically get on to xbox live then LOL.  your fooling yourself. but we will see on friday.  or i guess tomorrow at noon for beta testers.

oh yeah by the way.  does anyone else when they first go to thier dashboard have unusual lights comming out from the xbox live tab.  they are just like shading the dash with that same green color but they move when you move tabs on the menu.  then if you go into xbox live settings and come back out they are gone??

just out of curiostiy did your problems connecting from the dashoard start before or after you got your retail version?? if it was after then like most fo us you are kicked off until friday.  anyone else have my weird dashboard light thing??

I'm a beta tester,.. same problem,..   at first i was able to do a connection test and connect,.

..now i can't connect....

try'd whole bunch of things pple said it worked for them,...

nothing,....

i am pretty impatient,..   try'd all the tricks,....   still nothing,..

i think i will try waiting
