hold the phones, i just tried again, approx. 45 minutes after connecting the first time, now i can't connect to whacked or motogp, but i still can connect to fever 2003. what the hell... i tried changing my ip address in the xbox live settings, but no success. i am going to try nfl 2k3 right now and see what i get.
btw my hd isn't locked either, can someone who has their hd locked confirm if xbl is working for them..

Don't just sit back and relax. I will agree me and others aren't as skilled as a lot of the rest of the community but I think we can help them by simply trial and error of getting the XBL to work.

OK, here's another example.

X-ecuter 1.0, MS Dash with Live Beta installed. No other mods except probable still have a renamed dash or 2 unsused on the C: drive. No games or other HD hacks.

All was fine till sometime last weekend (Discovered problem on evening of 11/11/2002, USA EST).

Even system live settings menu with no disk installed won't connect...ie...XBox Live Not Found.

Tried IP Address change...no-go.

Kicker is...I was one of the saps that honored a MS request on the beta forums to leave your xbox connected to live after playing for network tuning! This may explain why some can still connect....cause MS can only find you when your not playing?

Open to suggestions to test...but don't have equipment to try eeprom serial change. I do have switch in hand to install when I get home.

That will be funny if all that is happening is the servers are being worked on. Everybody is in a panic and that is all it is. LOL. Just incase I'm going to lock my hd using the tutorial opjose posted. Better to be safe than sorry.

hey genomods, i was able to connect on an unmodded xbox no problems the first time with all the games. that's weird you couldn't. any ideas on that, i'm beginning to think it's just server issues, after all they already sent out emails saying the servers would be down a lot until the 15th doing last minute updates and server reboots
