true, if they keep this up, in a few days there will be hundreds of modded xboxes circulating to innocent consumers who thought they were buying a used xbox that worked fine. That would indeed be embarassing, yet there would be no way of stopping it!

What are you talking about? Xbox Live is not blocking modded Xboxes. BAD, BAD RUMOR.

I put my Matrix in mode 1 and put in my ORIGINAL HD and Xbox Live still won't connect. Great news, which means something else other than blockage of modded Xboxes.

BTW, I am a beta tester, and I still can't connect

Yeah the servers are being worked on in prep for Friday.

They started early Thursday and told me that service would be intermittent until Friday.

Modded users cannot connect.

BUT NEITHER CAN VIRGIN NON-MODDED Xboxes! Duh.

The servers are being switched over to new backbones and will be experiencing outages for the next two days.
