I haven't tried to get online for a few days now.  I also haven't installed my retail disk yet.  I have a matrix and before I try (if they detect the modchip) I'm going to lock my harddrive, disable my mod and then try to get online.  Wish me luck

We know that people who have not changed the original contents of their c partition are able to connect, that is not a prob.  If you are having a prob with this, then it is probably just a connectivity issue, not the detection issue.

So just copy the backup of the c:\ you made and run evox from disk and you should be fine playing online with modchip enabled?
