Are you a beta tester? If not, you'll have to wait until Live is officially launched on November 15th.

You can update the dashboard, however it won't actually do anything for you in the games until you've established an account. And you won't be able to do this unless your a beta tester.

thanks for the help some send me the files i need all the oringinal files from xbox and now i was able to update with no errors for ones now i need wait till novermber 15 for xbox live
