Xbox Live And Evox From A Cdrw
« on: October 27, 2002, 01:06:00 AM »

Quick question... If i boot evox from a cd, can i still get all the features of it? Also, I think it would be the safe thing to do, because i don't want to mess with the dash, and the "go live" feature would not screw it up. Am i right in assuming this?

ph34r.gif No because how are you going to backup a game with the evox CD in there?  You need to eject the evox cd and put in a game..when you do that evox will go away. ph34r.gif

Actually the new Evo X software doesnt reset itself when you press eject, I've tried it myself, you can press eject, put your game in, and back it up.  The old one didnt let you do this, but this one does.

All features would work, you can FTP to your xbox, back up your own games, play games off the Hard Drive and to play games on DVD-R/CD-RW you dont need the Evo X software at all, so yeah everything would work.  This is what I'm doing as well to avoid any risks.

ph34r.gif I thought that had to do with your mod chip if it has the "no reset eject trick" ph34r.gif
