with the beta you get beta software, and you get the headset.  the headset that comes with the beta is the same one that is going to be in the retail.  when retail comes out they will send you an update cd for xbox live so you can have all together retail.  and if you join now youll get to play for those 3 extra weeks free, plus when the retail comes out youll get a free year, so yeah order it now.

You do not get a year for free. You purchase your year subscription at the time you say you want your beta kit. You do get to play for the 3 weeks for free and you might get a free t shirt or something, so it is worth it to get the beta if you got accepted, but not for the reason that you get a year for free because that is a lie!! Quit lying

hmmm, well when i looked at the subscription of the beta and of the retail one, they both said that the first year comes with the 50 dollar purchase of everything, i guess i might have been mistaken
