Xbc On Campus

haha, sounds like you're incredibly paranoid about being caught, it's very possible your school is aware of the ports used in gaming and have them blocked, my campus has IRC ports blocked, the general range anyways in the 6000's however the higher ones are fine. If you do connect it to the computer you may have more of a chance getting through as it'll be viewed as a slave to the pc rahter than plugging it straight into the wall or into a router make it a viewed as a separate machine. I would give the crossover idea a shot, it very well could work and is probably your best bet.

i used to bounce porn sites off of proxies when i was in high school, lol. fun times messing with the teachers, id grab ahold of their machines and put dirty pics up, then ppl got suspicious so i quit, but i would try bouncing off a proxy, just a thought...

There is a way around it. Get a router, and hook your pc/xbox up to it. You may have to configure the router for certain ports on xbc. I can't guarantee that this will work for you, but if your university is using packet sniffing, i know for a fact it will work. I live on campus and before i had a router i was unable to use limewire for downloading files. Now that i have my router, it works flawlessly. I plan on using xbc starting tomorrow since i just got done modding my xbox since i had a hard drive failure.
