actually kai does support wireless and your setup should work .. what happend when you tried kai ? install kai, go into the kai config and pick your wireless card , possibly open a port if kai says so , search for a game in halo2 , check kai for your xbox .. it should work, i set my friend up like that a couple days ago .. then he bought a WRT router which is the best for wireless/kai gaming .. lemme know ..

ya if the card doesn't support promiscuous it won't work .. check that link i posted as their is a list of supported and non supported cards .. look up yours to see if it does .. what mode do you have your card in ? (adhoc or inf) .. do u have any antivirus or software firewalls running ?  

the one problem your going to have with the whole wireless deal even if you get it working is lag/ping .. if your serious about getting online i'd buy a Linksys WRT router so you can run kaistation on it .. also if u do get a WRT router and put kaistation on it your network card doesn't have to be promiscuous ..

you have a linksys router ? which one ?

your ping was a 100 to who tho .. the only people that have over a 100 to me (i'm in canada) is people overseas .. think about the traffic flow , xbox to router wireless to pc and then back again wireless to the router to get on the net .. the WRT router with kaistation runs the kai engine so on the pc you only open the UI .. traffic flow becomes much simpler , xbox to router to internet .. if u just bought the router and its not a Linksys WRT take it back :]
