Help With Aquaduct2, Xbox Detected And Can Connect
« on: November 21, 2004, 02:31:00 PM »

I posted this in an Aquaduct forum, but it seems that not many people read that forum.  so i thought it might be better here.

Regarding: Aquaduct 2 for Mac using over a wireless internet connection.

I believe i have all of my settings correct, but i am unable to have Halo recognize any available connections.  I am hard wired with a cross over cable (even tried a straight though) from my xbox to my powerbook, and then i am connected to the net wirelessly using my airport card.  Aquaduct2 recognizes my xbox and i can get a list of available servers, and i can connect to a server on my Mac as well.  But, what i cannot do is play.  My xbox is just sitting at the systems link screen waiting for available servers.  I assume this is where they would show up, or that this screen would change some once a server is recognized.  I have backed out of this screen several times to refresh.  but still nothing.  Why not? i have even chatted with people and know when a new game has been started (so that eliminates me just sitting there while no game is initilized)

I have Internet sharing turned on.

Do i still neet to forward port 8602? because i am already connected directly to my mac.  that wouldn't make sense.  Also, i my Isp tells me i must connect using PPoE, could this me a problem?  although i can already detect the xbox and see the list of servers.  I am also using a ZyXEL Prestige 660 wireless router/modem as my internet connection, not an airport base staion.  Is this the problem?

What else could be my problem?  Thoughts?  Any imput would be great.  Thanks for you help.
