Connect To Xbox Using Wireless Game Adapter

AAARGGHH... it worked now.

For some strange convoluted reason the bridge would jump to another network to connect in between xbox reboots. So when I was in Linux the adapter setup would show that its using my SSID. then when I would reboot xbox it would have jumped somewhere else and I couldnt connect (not sure why because I have WEP enabled and the SSID specified so it shouldnt connect anywhere else).
I rebooted back to Linux and sure enough it was on another network. I changed the SSID back to what my mine was and VIOLA on next reboot I was able to connect into evox. YEA!!!

4 hours of frustration.

One thing I notice is that the transfer rates are extremely slow... like in the range of 60-70Kbytes/sec even though the bridge is sitting maybe 10 feet away. Could it be too much interference from other networks.
