Probably you were kicked because you weren't supposed to be in a room. People like to play with the same people.

Or, you could have been kicked for low ping.

Anyways, not uncommon. All kicks are kicks by users, not by XBC

They could have also had their Ping Kick on which will kick someone if their ping reaches a certain number. Higher ping people usually lag during the game and on some games, can cause all the others to as well.

But yes, always try to play people in your area for the best game possible. On HALO, you can only play people within your region such as PAL can only play against PAL and NTSC can only play against NTSC. If the host saw that you were in a different region, he more than likely kicked you though because you would not have been able to play.

I'm just using HALO as an example though. I hope these comments have helped.

actually,  the new software/version of xbc kicks you out automatically, if you exceeded the ping they have entered ..

i.e. i host a game everynow n then and i always put it on auto kick if the some of the gamers have over 200 pings ...
