and if you are seriously asking why you cannot play XBL with games on your hard drive you have larger issues that would first appear.

Lets see, MS does not want you playing any games off your hard drive, if they wanted you to then they would have that option to copy the game to your Hard Drive.  This option would promote piracy and whatever else comes along with it.
