the WET11 isn't a router.  Its a wireless to ethernet bridge.  I have my xbox hooked up to a WET11 which then communicates wirelessly to my BEFW11S4.  Although if you had the BEFW11S4 as your router you could just run ethernet direct to the xbox without a WET11.

I hope this doesn't seem like a dumb question, but if my xbox was right next to a computer that is connected wirelessly to a BEFW11S4, is there any way I could hook up my xbox to ethernet without having to buy a WET11?

If you have a nic in the computer you could plug the xbox into that then use ICS on the comp to have it route out the wireless connection.

mrRobinson: would playing games on xbox live have a lot of lag if I did it that way?

Although very small and not a commonly heard of brand, Netgear has established themselves over the years as having the finest routers, wired and wireless. Their routers have features that other routers can only dream of. 1 such feature that i love is UNLIMITED port forwarding.

actually it depends on what are you planning to do?

1. access Xbox with a few PC to share WAN?
2. or maybe in the future access 2 or more xboxes and PCs to share WAN on XBL?

I made a thread on issue 2 here last month i think i that problem with my LINKSYS.. and after a few hours of homework and Mr. Robinson and a few members here and the M$ xbox forums it seems only a few Routers are REALLY Xbox Live Compatible.. and you should check out that thread  if you plan on using a few xboxes all on LIVE..

but if only issue 1 than ya alot of the routers mentioned by the members are good and will do great  with XBC, XLINK, XBL or any other app you plan on running.. network play will work fine also .. just not more than 1 xbox (on some routers) on XBL
