Xbconnect Lagging
« Reply #15 on: October 06, 2003, 01:18:00 PM »

Ill have to agree here, XBC is much laggier than it used to be.
We mainly play local games in the city and some friends of mine didnt know about Xlink yet.
They told me to hop on a give it a shot, each game lagged out part way through.
We had some of the best preformance from the 2.* versions.
Now we play on xlink as the games are killer smooth for local city play.

Shanafan, did you code XBC?
Im not here to flame or say which program is better, they all have thier benifits and faults
But i dont think its right to say that its not the program without actually coding it or having some hand in the design. all possibilities should be considered.

I am not afflitated with XBConnect in any way. I am just a moderator here at Xbox-Scene.

BTW, since some people claim this topic should not be in the XBConnect forum, I will move this to the Gamespy-related forum.

The lag has sucked over the last month.  So bad I bought XBL.  What can I say you get what you pay for.  XBL almost never lags.  Maybe 1 out of 50-75 games.  Plus you can get easy 10 or so players.  Still no lag.  Now that Rainbow6 3 is out and on Live its gonna be hard to go back to Halo and XBconnect.  But I do have to say, without XBconnect.   I would of never tried on-line gaming.
