i no if u upgrade ur hdd and u have a banned eeprom it does not matter.........but what if u buy a hdd(that is an xbox hdd) put it in ur xbox and lock it with configmagic so it matches ur mobo and go online will it work.........i am wondering because i screwed up my mobo and i ordered another one that came with a hdd........i was wondering if i get banned with my new hdd if i can just switch back to my old one...?

As long as your HD is locked (so original BIOS loads), and your motherboard's EEPROM is not banned, you can use Live fine with the modchip off.
