Firewall

im trying to connect to xbox live directly from my dsl line (not through my computer) i have a firewall setup cause i live on campus and i dont no how to get through it with my xbox, should i set up the xbox to the computer and put in the code or is there away to put in the code in the xbox to turn off the fire wall??
