The Xbox interface is ATA33, so you might see marginal improvements (due to a cleaner signal from the extra ground wires running thru the cable), but nothing substantial.

When there are multiple devices on the same ide channel the max speed of the ide channel will be set by the slowest device, i.e.  ATA33 + ATA100, the channel speed will be set to ATA33.
