New Xbox Starter Kit Means New Account?

If you just buy a new XBOX Live! starter kit every year, will your stats be reset, or can you transfer your account to the new serial number?

No real reason... all this talk about replacing your headset, and the kits going bad...  I guess MS seems to be replacing them for free though, so whatever.  Just wondering.

Or you can simply use a cellular phone hand free sets...well i think thats how theyre called...
