Fboot
« on: March 08, 2003, 09:01:00 AM »

Fboot is using a bios that boots to a file on the Fdrive, usually evoxdash.xbe, this way you dont have to place any files on the c drive, where people think M$ might look when getting onto live.

Some people just feel like they need to use that, just to make them feel a little better about getting onto live. Even though M$ doesn't look for any files on the drives, it makes them feel safer because they can't see the F drive.

Another advantage to using Fboot if you have like an x2pro or some chip that will switch between bios is you can use multiple dashboards, like have M$ dash on C, Nexgen on E and EvoX on F.
