Hi,

i got my phantasy star online and live kit from lik-sang, now i already have a live account as beta test in the UK so the extra one is spair.

Anyhow, i used config magic to edit my .xbe region to 2 (jap) locked my HD and everything.

Phantasy star boots fine now on my bios english games dont, this means that its region change was a success.

Now with my exsisting UK account it will not allow me to buy a hunters lisece for online play, if i change back to .xbe region 4 (uk) and boot a UK live game it works fine!

can anyone help, i have narrowed it down to 2 possible ways to go.

1, Sign up with the JP account i got with PSO (whole bundled disc headset and activation key. This will allow me to play?

OR

2, When i wrote my eeprom on the fly and changed the .xbe region it somhow requires a new mac address or online key?

Anyway help im stuck and gaging to get this game online!

Can anyone please help me! i paid in essence £75 for PSO and i NEED to get it running as its 2 months wait otherwisae and an expensive coaster!

What do you mean by it doesn't allow you to buy a Hunter's license? Does it give you an error in the game? What does the error say?

to #2, live might be region specific since its essentially a seperate service for japan, for now
but then again ive heard americans have played europeans so i severely doubt it

Yes i have played with US gamers, and i am from the uk
the kits are globally compatible

Now i need to crack my save game so i can use a different gamertag, cant use mine, its taken!

"Take away from post count" Yep, sure like I give a fuck. People's skill should be based on if they're respected and if they have skill, not post count...
3000+ might be a little much...but then again, chances are only a few are as stupid as you think.

anyway... I tried it again and it works now! MS told me the reason it didn't work was because PSO wasn't out till the end of may.
It's not 12 may and it looks like they started the servers running already!

GREAT!

So.... Anyone from the UK playing a US imported PSO? my gamertag is 'Locke 0' and my PSO name is 'Yahn'.
I'd like to talk to some Europeans instead of just americans =)
