I had better luck with XBConnect and Halo. Otherwise, some hosts just have crappy connections. It is usually their end that causes the lag/disconnection, not you.

lots of peeps use gamespy tunnel.
works fine, but i prefer xbconnect cause it seems to have faster pings, and less lag.
