Which Point To Install A Switch For Homebrew Mod?

I have a homebrew installed on my system, where about would i install a switch to turn off the mod when loading live games? between which points? I have an EPROM, not a EEPROM chip if that matters. I have read for the LPC mode but i don't think that applied to my chip.
