Questions About Xbox Controller On My Pc
« on: May 11, 2004, 05:54:00 AM »

I know that this has been asked several times before.  I must not be hitting the right keywords in search though because I can't find it.  I want to hook up an xbox controller to my pc.  I see that lik-sang sells an adapter but is that the only way?  I didn't see anything at Best Buy.

This adapter just seems to me as something that may be used for something else, thus being more readily available than lik-sang.

Thanks and sorry for asking an old question.

just build one yourself.

(1) get an USB extension cable and a XBox extension cable.
(2) cut em both in the middle.
(3) disregard the yellow wire on the xbox cable.
(4) join the right pieces together by connecting the wires with the same colors.

now you got an USB adapter for your controller, and a Xbox adapter for your USB devices.

Thank you very much.  That's just what I was looking for.

What about a driver for this controller though?

Well, crap!!  I just checked with Radio Shack and they don't even have extension cables.  They had a regular usb cable but it was $18...I'd be better off just ordering from lik-sang.  At least then I'd end up with a driver.  I guess tonight I'll check on xbins and see if they happen to have a driver.  UGH

EDIT::  Nevermind...found the driver.  Duh...yahoo!!!!

SEARCH YOU IDIOT!!  :evil:   There, I flamed myself.  :jester:
