great idea, but i don't think the bios is cached. like the PC's bios, it's not cached unless you go into CMOS options and tell it to cache it. I believe xbox's "option" that you obviously can't change is that it's not cached. good idea, but don't think it will work

well you're probalby not doing much modding to be banned from live if you don't know what an eeprom is. it stores your serial, and other special keys that hte xbox uses. settings and stuff too, but just go look it up, i'm too lazy to type in it all.

Ever since I was a wee lad my friends and family would call me the wee "fat chubby one." It's hard growing up in a society where everything is about looks and where one person is more important than someone else. But then came that awesome beautiful day, when I....I met you guys online.... It changed everything for me. When I heard on Xbox live I skipped the whole day of work to go to future store to get it. But the employees there said "Sorry you wee fat man we have no hambones in the back for you...." Well that just sizzled my temper....you know that kind of sizzling the oven makes when you fry the fat greasy bacon for to long, and it starts to swell up into a poptart lookin......oh yeah sorry, ummmm..... Anyways when I finally got live, I was banned for I desperately rushed into quickly, and had used my friends xbox up to this point. But now he wants it back, and I have no live to race motogp on....I'm stuck, and I understand that you (exstazi) are giving up something that we all treasure. I don't believe I am the perfect candidate for the eeprom your giving away and I believe you should keep it. but if you were to give it away it may give someone like myself a chance to get back onine and playing with people that do not judge me for for how I look. So if you could find it in your heart to lend it [email protected] I'd greatly appreciate it and would give it back anytime you wanted it back, you can count on my word. Thanks for your time and people like you exstazi give this scene a great name...and have people as myself coming back....

Hmmm. Just cause I'd like to have two from you! (poet and don't know it)

I'm going to be messing on a new xbox with x-ecuter2 soon (if they ever ship the mod chips...). Plan to implement a miniature relay (or 2) on a single switch which will automatically swap my xbox net connection from pier to cross-over if I switch on the mod.

This will prevent going online (unless you mess with other hardware purposely, such as with my wireless bridge, cause it has both connection modes available) with the mod switch turned on. It will also allow head to head direct connect with the mod on.

Knowing me....I'll screw it up, or maybe not. Could pass it on to some less informed, or less furtunate, or back to you if I don't need it.
