Bypass Modchip Detection?

I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar but why not do what satelites did for years and emulate a good bios.  with sate. you can hook a computer up to your box and emulate a hacked smartcard and get every channel, why not do why was mentioned earlier and sniff packets. and work it so all packets go through the computer, and if the computer sees a packet that detects modchips it will drop the packet and send a response back to m$ w/ no modchip here boss.  I dont see why this couldn't work as satelites did it for over 5 years.

hacking pay tv is something easier.there your smartcard only has the code (or the computer is generating it) that unlocks the program you like.no checks or anything other.

here it is more difficult.if you do a crc check on a file,it'll send back a "key" that has all information included.you can't hack a bios to send a good crc.

what would've to be done is catching a good packet.one that tells "no modchip" and save it.route the xbox trough the pc and the pc is sniffing for the packet that asks for the chip.the xbox would've to be cut for a moment so it can't send a packet back and the computer would send the saved "good" packet.but that's harder than it sounds and ms would just change something and everybody using this method would be banned

mickey, I agree. First, kickace says that you can use the same EEPROMs on two different Xboxes and log on and use Live at the same time....for like 4 hours! Geez, he kept on talking like it worked for 3 days until he finally fessed up and said both got banned

Then, he talks about his "friend's" program...

Alright, I could be wrong about that, but still, your "friend's" program? Come on

Understandable, but I do think MS knows how we modded Xbox users are getting online. Switches, updating EEPROMs, etc. Anyways, hope your friend does something productive..

You do know what everyone on XS is gonna ask for it dun ya ??

Yeh but he could make it so that only if u ask privately (i.e. not on public forums) he will give it to u, therefore keeping public announcements to a minimum.

it might be a while before he takes requests for it cause he is trying to get it to play backups & making it better.
