No it actually works with the Xecutor2 bios unmodified (this was a surprise!).

Hey opjose, what do you mean it works? Booting your Xbox off a blank EEPROM or connecting to XBL with modchip on, blank eeprom, and X2 bios?

No what I mean is that the BLANK EEPROM will seriously screw up your machine!

It was a surprise that the Xecutor2 bios was able to boot the machine with the blank EEPROM in place. I knew that the compex bios was able to do this but not the Executor2.

Executor1, Xtender, etc. all result in a dead and unbootable machine.

In -NO- case was I able to get onto XBLive, either using the steps he described, the Pixel8 blank bios, etc.

On the other hand if you use ConfigMagic and use a VALID HDD Key (not password, which is something else) then disable the mod chip, things work just fine.

BTW: the blank serial number is -NOT- considered part of a valid header, so it does nothing to get you back onto XBLive.

Now there is still something we are missing that is KEY to fixing this problem.

He inadvertently found a way into XBLive which is VERY intreguing.

If we could reproduce it, it would be understood and made useful for everyone.

SO far I cannot reproduce his results on various machines.

Are you saying that the thing that distinguishes between being banned and not being banned is your hard drive key? What is this key? Wouldn't chaning a HD get you a new one?

Sigh, newbies. Don't bother to read, search or anything.

They want EVERYTHING "handed" to them instead.

Then they get pissed off when people point this out.

The HD key has nothing to do with the hard drive you have installed.

Changing the hard drive does nothing.

Changing the HD KEY --WOULD-- get you unbanned if you knew the HD Key generation algorythm.

Got it? Good.

If I was banned, then I would gladly give it out, but I'm not (yet, as far as I can tell)

so does Config Magic use this algorithm?

From Team-Assembly (which is host BTW beerchug.gif):
"What can be edited:

So has anyone confirmed of a method that works to run a "backup" on XBOX live?  (Using the eprom editor or?).. which works if any??  Whats  the final word on this.

Thanks
