To play backups, turn modchip on, power on Xbox, and run backup. As a precaution, did not select any "Go Live" tabs in the backup games. And, did not select the Xbox Live tab on the MS dash.

To play Xbox Live, turn modchip off, power on Xbox, and run original game.

Leave the RJ cable in all the time if you want.
