I don't think you can be detected unless you try to connect to Live.

I do not think that it detects it as of yet, but I can very easily imagine that M$ will implement that Original Software checks for a modified BIOS, and saves it to some file on the HD, that is called by the M$ server as soon as you logg on again.

IS this true ??

i am sure that lots of ppl were supporting the idea that MS can detect and BAN your xbox even off line ...
banning you the next time you go on-line (having already flagged your xbox )

is that not true ??

Thnx

Beats me. Just leave the cat5 cable out of the ethernet port when not playing online. Could be a start.  unsure.gif

Not true , I used NBA 2k3 to update my dash [ when NBA 2k3 first came out ] and I can use Xbox Live just fine [ not banned ] . I am using a Matrix in mode 3 with the load evoxdash booting procedure so my xboxdash is untouched [ other than the official updates ] and I use the eject method to change to the original bios [ conects to LIVE perfectly every time ] . I removed the option in the evo-x dash to go to the M$ dash board [ no mistakes this way ] .

If you were to play live from the original dash that was boted from the evox bios then you d be banned, you can only get banned when you are connected to live, nothing you do when you are not connected can get you banned.
Of course if you setup is not correct you can get banned right when you connece to live, like an aftermarket harddrive or something like that

So are you saying, even when you're not connect to live and have the modchip enabled it writes something to the hard drive that you have a modchip and when you connect to Live you're banned?

yes, even if you aren't connect & you go to the ms dashboard with ur modchip on, it will detect the mod & report it to ms next time you log on & you will be banned.

Where have you read stuff on this? I don't think this is correct... unsure.gif Is this only when you switch from the EvoX dash to the MS dash?

What do you mean, if you go to your xbox dash? You mean the options, such as "Live", "Memory" etc...? Ive been here with my mod enabled, ripping music, deleting save games etc and im fine wink.gif

Hmm.
When I got my live beta it installed no problem with chip disabled.
When I used the startup disc it updated fine with chip disabled.
How ever, I enable my chip to play backups, evox etc, and ive been messing around in the dash many times, deleting save games, ripping music, all while my mod has been on. I also play mech, unreal, moto. whacked online. I just make sure I disable my switch when I wanna ply Live. So it seems to me, all this about your xbox detecting you have a mod by yu going into your dash board is untrue. Unless my when A game is updating your xbox for live play and u have your switch on. But I always have it off for that.

ya, i've been on my dash many times with my mod turned on, but i haven't been banned. Maybe they mean if u go to your xbox live dashboard with your mod on u will be banned.
