The thing is I do not know anyone that has done this and has worked for them so that is why I have posted this here so I could get some feedback. When I said head set I mean the original head set that came with the XBL. Thanks for the reply though unlike the other person that is still figuring out what my problem is here!

Yes, my cousin broke his headset and now I am trying to find a way so they could talk and play online.

If your headset is broken, go buy a a Cell phone earpiece.

2.5mm jack, it works.

Also, you can buy a splitter, that way, you AND your friend can both hear and speak.
