smile.gif for like an hour.  thats a supervisor they went and got from a different floor to come down and speak with me.  he himself assured me he would call me back with a solution today.  he said he would go and research the problem and talk directly to the live online team.  if he knew it was a modchip he would have fed me some bullshit yes, but he didnt give me any.  he said he didnt know.  they have had a few calls like this and most of the people with this problem logged on before the 15th when they werent supposed to. i dont really care either way, i have a job and can just go buy a new xbox, i would rather not have to but i can.  so if its modchip detection then fine ill get a new one.  if it isnt then i wont.  im just trying to get my shit fixed and help you all out also. if you dont wanna take my help then okay smile.gif

I think it's safe to say that everybody wants Live to work on every Xbox, modded or not and right now it's not working perfectly with any setup - people have success doing certain things while others don't, some have no problems on modded systems while others can't get new ones to work, etc.

Everybody is just frustraited.  Just gotta chill and wait I guess.  Go rent MGSS or something, get a tall drink, I dunno heh

Well then the son of a bitch lied to me.  I have yet to try this as I was on my way to return it when he told me how to reset the system to factory.  I will try it on mine when I get home to see if I get anything.  Thats only 2 hours from now.  Anyone else try this at the sys info screen and get nothing?

Yeah thats what I was working at doing.  Hell you might be talking to the same guy.  If they give you a 4 key code to reset the box then thats the same procedure I will be trying. Keep us posted.

i dont know yet gimmi some time to figure out whats going on.  i just had to call my service provider to see if they kicked my off or wont direct me.  i got some forign lady so no help there im going to call back and talk to kevin at xbox.

So you fell for the "its your provider" line.  Damn, and you had potential.  Have them explain why every provider decided to "block" the people starting monday and at the same time lets people through who just installed the retail kit today.  Like an ISP has the time (or knowhow for that matter) to selectively block some people from xbox live.  Don't make no sense george.

Yeah but if they ask you about the config settings (ie. the Y screen) what do you tell them? Would be best to actually have to xbox's sitting there to back up your story.
