Well, in about 11 hours and 10 minutes Xbox live should be open to Beta testers right?  If what people are saying is true —we will be unbanned by then, or the servers will start working properly again by then— then i think we would all be interested in hearing what happens to the people who try (and who weren't able to connect before).  Does it work now?  Did it work before?  What message do you get?  

(i got kinda tired of having to look through 15 different threads to get all the experiences so hopefully people will be able to post their experiences on this scenario in particular here)

I am a beta tester.  But if i wanna go in when i get home from school should i use the retail cd they sent me or the beta cd??

I will try it at 12 tonight. Currently, I havent updated to the retail disk yet...and my beta games arnt working ne more...nothing worked when I last tried it. I have been hearing a ton of rumors, but let the truth be told in just a few hours. Hold ur breath people.

at 12am on 11/14 im gonna try games with the beta still because the beta servers should be up till 11/15 still, if nothing works I will upgrade to the retail disk and try those games, as well as NFL 2k3.

Yeah I hope that everything works, i want my live back.

Oh btw I have a mod, 29wire homebrew, EVOX 2.5, and put a new HD in there, the HD isnt locked with the key. ( I wonder if MS will check HD keys, we will have to wait and see)

the xbox live starter disk does not upgrade anything--it is the exact same thing as the beta disk (same games, videos, & everything else). The disk doesn't change anything else on ur xbox.

icefuzion, do u have a switch on ur homebrew mod?  i have a homebrew mod too and have trouble installing a switch/figuring out which wires to cut...

Ok, 14th today, UK, and as anticipated the old disk doesn't work this morning. MotoGP stopped working at around 10 last night, and although Whacked still says its connected there are no sessions available.

Not going to try my modchip, going to wait. I'm SO certain that MS are doing check, that I'm going to wait a few weeks and see what happens to everyone else.
