ahem, What I'm saying is why would MS wait until the week that Live launches to detect mod chips when they could do the same check in games. Sure, someone could patch the game and make it work. But they could make it harder for people with mods with a lot more games that are pirated vs the handfull that can connect to xbox live. Why wait until the launch of an on-line service to try this instead of just putting mod detection in a game.

The mod disable thing was just a note on what I've tried. It has nothing to do with a game performing a bios check.
