Just talked to a Xbox Rep.

XBL WILL NOT WORK WITH MODDED XBOX'S.

ms reps have no clue i was told its sever issues bec of people using retail kits causing the servers to go crazy and some people are still connected using mods and im still dying to know how you put a 120 gig hd with the enigmah

i personally think it is a server problem....i talked to people on xbox.com who dont have a mod chip and they said the samethin is happening to them.......the connected fine until today....just wait till the 15th

If you actually told him you had a modded xbox, OF COURSE he'll say that XBlive won't work with it.

Who knows, if we're banned, we're banned, but I just have a feeling that there will be a workaround for this shortly. There are some people with modded xboxes getting on Live.

Yup, thats what i had to do.. i just re-installed the first beta cd (did account recovery to a v1.1 xbox then updated the dash w/ the 2nd cd and all is well now.. for those people sayin that they did "a quick sweep" of all those online, that isn't true cause i never played online yesterday when this started, and ever since i put in my retail cd to my modded xbox (hombrew evo2.5 w/ ybox bios, booted to xboxdash.xbe) with the switch turned OFF to the chip xbl quit working (something on that disc maybe??).. so its GOTTA be seriel numbers, cause i think that seriels help identify who u r to xbl (if u run the troubleshoot network setup test your s/n shows up on top while doing it.... so... i dunno

I never told him I had a Modded Xbox. I told him I coldnt get connected and he said "Do you have a Modchip becuase XBL no longer works with Modded consoles"

Well, I'm certainly not lying. Connect 100% no problems - but then I always disable the chip before putting in the Live disk so I'm using the retail bios. And my HD is locked.

Whether or not you can connect has nothing to do with how your XBOX is setup NOW. It has to do with how your XBOX was setup when they scanned.

I've totally removed my Matrix chip and I still can't connect.
